Plans are well in progress for 2008 Festival which happens 17th-19th October this year at The Spa, Bridlington.
The venue is currently undergoing an £18m transformation (set to complete in May 08) which will see it become one of the premier venues in the North of England. With a wonderfully designed main hall and lots of peripheral spaces including a beautiful 650 seat theatre it will allow the festival to develop and grow . With direct access onto the beach it is stunningly situated and very accessible to the towns facilities. We are also assured that we can move the Festival back to the half-term week in 2009 . We are looking at some interesting innovations for this year such as a dedicated DJ/ dance space , a visual arts area, a late night Festival Club and an extended festival market.
We'd appreciate as many people as possible coming to the Festival Launch night with TransGlobal Underground & Samay on 4th July 08 in order that you can contribute your thoughts about how the venue will work in October .
Early Bird Festival tickets are still available but please note there is no concession rate on these.. as they are the cheapest they will be. There are reduced price tickets for 0-18s and children under 11 are free but must have a ticket booked for them.
